Jen graduated from Apple Valley High School in 2002. In high school she cheered for football and hockey and was also part of Apple Valley’s competition cheer team. Jen also competed on the MN Allstars and Planet Spirit (now Iowa Elite Cheer of Minnesota) All Star cheer teams. Jen graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. While attending MSU - Mankato, she cheered for football, basketball and was part of the co-ed competition team. During her time on the competition team, she competed twice at nationals on the Daytona Beach Bandshell. Jen went on to coach MSU’s co-ed competition team for two years. Kristy Woods has been passionate about cheerleading since she first became a cheerleader in high school. She graduated from Maple Grove High School in 2001 and went on to cheer at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she competed and coached the Cheer and Stunt Team. After graduating, Kristy returned to Maple Grove High School as a coach, eventually leading the program for 10 years. During her tenure, she coached athletes at all levels, from elementary to varsity, and took her varsity teams to nationals multiple times. After stepping away from cheer, she has been coaching CrossFit for about 10 years, and is excited to return to the sport and bring her experience in both cheer and strength training to her athletes. Kristy is passionate about helping athletes recognize their full potential, both on and off the mat. She believes the lessons learned in cheerleading—teamwork, perseverance, and confidence—translate into lifelong skills, and she is dedicated to fostering a positive and empowering environment for her athletes.
