Open gyms are intended for both new and returning members interested in cheering during the 2024-2025 Season. This includes squads such as JV Comp, Varsity Comp, Varsity North Sideline, and Varsity South Sideline.

Summer Band Camp for 5th Graders Only (24-25 school year)

Advantage Educational Programs gives students the option of preparing for the ACT exam in three different ways: the In-School ACT Preparatory Course, the Virtual ACT Preparatory Course, or the Online ACT Preparatory Course.

Teams are determined by a variety of factors including skill level, experience, teamwork, dedication, work ethic, leadership, and attitude.
**Competition Squads require a STRONG attendance and cost commitment to the program. Please review the team descriptions for an idea of the cost and schedule that each squad requires. Please note that it is VERY important the level of commitment is understood prior to tryouts. Red and White (Formerly Gold) squads do not require tryouts for Fall placement. Ashlynn graduated from Prior Lake High School in 2019. She cheered throughout elementary, middle and high school! After pursuing her passion at Culinary School for a year, she got right back into the cheer world with coaching! She is also a former Tumbling Club Coach. In total she has now been coaching competition teams for around 5 years and is very excited to be apart of the Lakeville program!!
Rachel graduated in 2019 from Prior Lake High School. She started cheering in 5th grade and then went on to cheer for Prior Lake’s JV and Varsity teams. Rachel graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Education and got a job as a 4th-grade teacher. Rachel has coached for Lakeville's LVE and JV teams and is currently coaching LVA, Middle School, and North Sideline. She is excited to continue working with all these amazing athletes in this program.
Anna graduated from Lakeville North High School in 2022. She did competitive gymnastics for 8 years and switched to cheer in middle school. She cheered on the varsity competition team for Lakeville and North sideline for four years. Her sophomore year she was a varsity helper for junior high and will going into her second season coaching officially. She can’t wait to see what the team and program has in store for this season!
Haley graduated in 2012 from Park High School in Cottage Grove. She has played many sports through her life including soccer, hockey, softball, rec football, gymnastics, and volleyball. She started cheerleading in high school for football and hockey at Park in 2008. She was also a part of the Competition team at Park. After graduation she attended University of St. Thomas where she cheered on the "Tommies" at Football and Basketball games for three years. She is also a part of the Northern Elite Open 6 team “Inferno” and loves to compete! She has coached for a Varsity team for 2.5 years before coming to Lakeville and is very excited to work with the team and can’t wait to see where this new journey takes her.
Kristy Woods has been passionate about cheerleading since she first became a cheerleader in high school. She graduated from Maple Grove High School in 2001 and went on to cheer at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she competed and coached the Cheer and Stunt Team. After graduating, Kristy returned to Maple Grove High School as a coach, eventually leading the program for 10 years. During her tenure, she coached athletes at all levels, from elementary to varsity, and took her varsity teams to nationals multiple times. After stepping away from cheer, she has been coaching CrossFit for about 10 years, and is excited to return to the sport and bring her experience in both cheer and strength training to her athletes. Kristy is passionate about helping athletes recognize their full potential, both on and off the mat. She believes the lessons learned in cheerleading—teamwork, perseverance, and confidence—translate into lifelong skills, and she is dedicated to fostering a positive and empowering environment for her athletes.
