  2. Cheerleaders are expected to practice individual skills and routine counts on their own outside of practice.
  3. 1-2 years of cheerleading experience or equivalent level training is preferred.
  4. Physical Skills we would like to see at this level are:

-Standing Tumbling: Back handspring or back handspring potential

-Running Tumbling: Power Hurdle round off, potential for round off back handspring

-Excellent motion sharpness (correct motion placements is a must at this level)

-Jumps that are executed with proper technique, timing and jump height-Strong voice, use of ad-libs and the ability to engage crowd while performing cheer(s)

-Fully performing dance (facials, attitude, sass, etc.) and giving it your all

-Stunting with proper technique and knowledge of the basics

Team Goals for the 2025-2026 Season:

  • Stunting: extended single leg body positions, inversions to extension, 360 downs
  • Standing Back handsprings & Roundoff Handsprings (at least half squad)
  • Jumps with toe height at hip level or higher
  • Solid motions in all aspects of routine

If athletes are working towards these skills or are not quite there, we ask that their technique in other aspects (stunting, jumps, dance, cheer, etc.) are extremely strong!

Tryout Tips: Learning ALL material and ability to perform it at tryouts is a must for team placement (this will help us determine if athletes are ready for this level). We are looking for hard hitting motions, good technique, and loud voices, but one of the most important things is a positive attitude and willingness to work hard and never give up! Practice makes perfect! If you make a mistake keep going and smile through it!

Please Note: for this team to be successful there is a high level of commitment needed from the athlete and family. Please make sure you consider this before trying out for this team.
