    Summer Private Strings Lessons

    Grades 1 and up Take up a new instrument or improve your skills on one you already play. Private lessons are available for the following instruments: ukulele, cello, violin or viola. Students must provide their own instrument. You will learn note reading/tablature and a bit of Music Theory. This will enable you to learn music to play and enjoy for a lifetime!     Summer Private Piano Lessons

    Grades 1-5 Does your elementary student want to grow musically in piano? Elementary aged piano lessons are being offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays with Mrs. Prip this summer. Lessons are 30 minutes. Select day of the week upon registration. Note time preference upon registration then Mrs. Prip will email to confirm time with you. Must provide their own transportation.
  • School of Fish

    Grades 3 and up! School of Fish is a 2 1/2-hour kids fishing class open to kids (and adults!) from grades 3 and up taught by pro angler and fishing TV show host Mike Frisch. Students learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes, and some great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup. School of Fish is a 2 1⁄2 hour kids fishing class taught by Fishing the Midwest TV show host Included in the class: Rod & Reel Hannay’s Marine/School of Fish Hat (Hat is new this year and will replace the t-shirt) Tackle box and tackle School of Fish full color workbook One adult is invited to attend with a child at no additional charge, provided they share one equipment packet. Most importantly, however, graduates leave class with the knowledge, skills, and equipment to go fishing!

Pitch Perfect! helps children develop their singing voice and love of music through songs, games and group activities. Make new friends and have fun making music together.     Summer Private Voice Lessons

    Grades 7 and up Are you a middle or high school student interested in becoming a more confident singer for your school choir, church music team or community theater program? Or perhaps you’re interested in receiving classical training with an eye towards auditioning for a college music program. Try private voice lessons this summer! Lessons will focus on vocal technique, pitch accuracy, breath support, proper diction, and tension-free phonation, with the objective that students will receive the basic training to sing more beautifully and confidently while becoming better overall musicians. Instructor has years of experience singing classical voice in addition to teaching private voice lessons. 45 minute lessons available on Tuesday or Thursday mornings or evenings this summer.

    Summer Private Music Lessons

    Grades 1-8 Private guitar, percussion, electric bass, or beginning piano lessons! Students must provide their own instrument (except piano). Lessons will focus on note-reading, basic music theory, and instrumental technique, with the objective that students will have the basic skills and proficiency needed to continue to improve their skills and enjoy their instrument long after the summer session is completed. The instructor has years of experience playing all instruments offered in addition to experience teaching private lessons. Guitar and electric bass students should provide their own instruments, while percussion instruments and pianos will be available at the facility. 30 minute lessons available on Tuesday or Thursday mornings or evenings this summer.

    Grades 3-5 Do you like to draw? Have you ever wanted to learn how large pieces of sidewalk chalk art are created? Or want to learn a new and upcoming medium in the art world? This camp will teach you the basics to get you started on this diverse, exciting art form. Come prepared to get dirty as we create chalk art. Participants will learn new techniques, learn to use the gridding system, and will create a large piece of their choice to take home. Participants will be provided with a box of chalk that professional chalk artists use.

Using Minecraft EDU, you’ll learn how to use redstone mechanisms and programmed commands in order to create the perfect Minecraft Escape Map. You’ll design fun puzzles, engineering traps to trick your friends, and even -make hidden rooms to hide your treasure! By the end of this class, you will be able to show off your new adventure mapping, redstone, and command skills to your friends. No advanced Minecraft knowledge required.

    Grades 2-5 Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more.     Combo Camp - Christina Huddleston DASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, throwing, relay running, jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic shoes.

    DASH Sports flag football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.
