    Beginner 2 (ages 5 and up) Participants learn to swim without flotation or assistance for longer distances and durations. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of life jackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and water park safety. Skills: Jump into chest-deep water and return to the edge of pool Bob underwater, blowing bubbles, 5 times Front float, 10 seconds Front glide, turn and swim back to the wall Back float, 10 seconds Back glide, roll over, turn and swim back to the wall Tread water, 10 seconds Paddle stroke on front, 15 yards Elementary backstroke arms, 10 yards Back crawl, 5 yards Prerequisite: Completion of Beginner 1 or have equivalent skills.
