  • Cake Decorating for the Beginner

    Learn the basics to decorating beautiful cakes and desserts in 3 easy sessions. Nancy will show you the "tricks of the trade" and before long you will be making your own treats for family, friends and co-workers. Nancy has shown over 16,000 students in her teaching career and would like to have the opportunity to work with you!   • Chicken en Croute

    We start with a classic Caesar salad using fresh baked croutons, Romano cheese and sweet cherry tomatoes. You’ll assemble the entree wrapping tender breast of chicken in flaky puff pastry with shallots and portobello mushrooms. Together we’ll prepare an amazing sauce using sweet port wine. Sides will include asparagus with olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon along with a delicious Jasmine rice blend using toasted almonds and dried cranberries. We'll finish with chocolate decadence, a rich flourless chocolate torte served with an exquisite raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream.
  • French Cuisine

    Experience exquisite French classics beginning with French onion soup topped with toasted croutons and gruyere cheese then browned to perfection. You’ll prepare "Coq au Vin", tender breast of chicken sautéed with pearl onions, mushrooms and bacon in a rich burgundy wine sauce served with a delicious wild rice blend and green beans amandine. We'll finish with "Crepes Suzette", thin French Pancakes served with an exquisite orange liqueur sauce.

    Create your own stunning mosaic window or table lamp in this 2-night course. Our glass pieces are pre-cut, but the designs are up to you! On night one, you will design your project and attach the glass pieces. On night two, prepare to get messy as we grout our projects.    Fee payable in class: $30-$55 (depending on project)

  • Holiday Bake and Take

    In just 3 hours you can do all your holiday baking and take home approx. 10 dozen different varieties of cookies, candies and holiday treats!  You will be assigned a station to work on with a partner or two.  Working in groups, you will prepare the cookies and candies then trim and decorate them. Best of all, your kitchen stays spotless!  After cleaning up, comes the sampling! Please bring several containers for your cookies and an apron. Arrive 10 minutes early to set-up. Adults only. 
  • Ink Flow Coasters - Adult/Child Class

    This class is for all ability levels and is designed for crafty and creative folks looking to create a unique piece of work! Using alcohol inks, you will use colors and techniques to create a set of four tile coasters. This class is all about being creative and is not a structured step by step class. This class is open to all ages, however, because of the supplies used in this class children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Interchangeable Pallet Signs

    This interchangeable pallet sign is perfect for any season or reason! The 7 x 24-inch sign is assembled and ready for you to stain and paint. You will also decorate 5 six-inch wood shapes that can be easily changed out for the second letter of your sign. Several stain colors and over 50 paint colors will be available. No experience required and we will take you through the process step by step. Please choose from the following when you register: FARM with tractor, cow, pig, mason jar, chicken. HOME with Christmas tree, MN, bunny, pumpkin, snowman. LAKE with anchor, fish, MN, campfire, bobber.  LOVE with heart, MN, ball, cupcake, paw.
  • Italian Cuisine

    Enjoy the marvelous flavors of traditional Italian cuisine starting with "Panzanella", a toasted bread salad with refreshing summer vegetables in a light vinaigrette. You’ll prepare “chicken saltimbocca” using thin sliced prosciutto ham and fresh sage in a lemon, caper, artichoke butter sauce. You’ll make potato gnocchi (Italian dumplings) then we’ll toss them in a medley of sauces including, basil pesto, marinara and brown butter with sage and walnuts. We'll finish with "Cannoli", fried pastry filled with sweetened ricotta and mascarpone cheeses, served on a pool of chocolate sauce, garnished with pistachios.
  • Lefse

    Learn the fine points in making the dough, baking, storing and serving lefse. We will begin with real potatoes and authentic recipes, and a more modern version using instant potatoes. Plan to sample your fresh, warm creations with traditional fillings, plus take home finished lefse and dough to share.
  • Oktoberfest

    Come celebrate the fall tradition German style with “sauerbraten” tender pot roast in a tangy sweet and sour sauce, beef roulades stuffed with pickles, bacon and onion in red wine sauce, “Schweinshaxe” pork ribs and sauerkraut, and “WeinerSchnitzel” chicken tender slightly breaded and sautéed with fresh squeezed lemon and herbs. You’ll learn to prepare “spaetzle”, German pasta, Potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream, “kartoffelklosse”, dumplings topped with buttered bread crumbs and braised red cabbage. We’ll finish with a classic black Forest cake, it’s sublime.
  • Pasta, Pasta, Pasta

    We'll start by learning how to make basil pesto then practice it's versatility creating a delightful appetizer using it in combination with fresh baked bread, roma tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. Next we'll toss it with vermicelli and cream to make a delicious pasta topped with diced tomatoes and roasted pine nuts. "Cappellini" is next tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, tomatoes and sautéed baby shrimp. Finally, "fettuccine alfredo primavera" a divine combination of fresh veggies, Parmesan cheese and cream. We'll finish with a classic "Tartlet", sugar dough layered with pastry cream and fresh fruit with a sweet apricot glaze.
  • Reversible Thanksgiving and Christmas Wood Blocks

    These wood blocks are perfect for decorating because you can display them for two holidays! First you will paint the blocks the color of your choice-over 50 shades to choose from! Then you will apply Grateful, Thankful, Blessed on one side and Joy, Peace, Believe on the other. There will be several options of ribbon, twine and floral available to finish off your display. The set of 3 blocks with ribbon measures approximately 4.5" tall 7" long.
  • Truffles Candies, Ooh La La!

    You've tried the rest - now MAKE the best. Instructor Nancy Burgeson has shown thousands of student how to make these rich, chocolaty delicacies. We'll make five different recipes in class and each student will take home a nice box of 15-18 truffles. $12 supply fee will be collected in class. We are sorry, but we are not able to accommodate nut allergies.  Optional truffle/candy kit is available for purchase for future candy making projects - price of the kit is $18.

    Easy, inexpensive, nutritious and gluten free – learn to make mozzarella cheese and yogurt at home. These fresh treats are tastier and are healthier than store bought products! Discuss how to make multiple types of cheese using what you have in your own kitchen. Leave with how-to recipes, recipes that utilize cheese and/or yogurt, and resource information.Bring two 1 cup containers with secure lids to take home mozzarella cheese and yogurt starter.$8 supply fee is payable to instructor in class.
