    Advantage Educational Programs gives students the option of preparing for the ACT exam in three different ways: the In-School ACT Preparatory Course, the Virtual ACT Preparatory Course, or the Online ACT Preparatory Course. All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT exam score, as well as those who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or who have take the exam and aren't satisfied with their results. In-School ACT Preparatory Course This course consists of four, three-hour classes that meet one day each week. The course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, science reasoning, English strategies and review, essay writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies and review. Fee: $180, must have internet connection and a computer/tablet/smartphone Repeat this course online at no extra charge!     Adapted Swim Lessons

    This class is for students age 18 months through adult with mild special needs, including neurological, developmental, and cognitive, who will benefit from one on one instruction. Instructor will work with the parent/guardian to determine student goals that will meet a variety of sensory challenges including visual, auditory, physical and movement, all while learning swimming skills. Ratio = 1:1.
  • Adaptive Lessons

    Adaptive Lessons This class is for children with mild disabilities who may need one to one instruction. Students will follow the curriculum from one of our swim lessons levels with modifications to strokes and skills as necessary, in a safe environment. Additional times beyond those listed in our catalog or online will be determined by pool and instructor availability. Ratio = 1:1 *We also offer 4 day sessions of private, semi-private or adapted lessons only during the summer sessions.

    Alphabet Adventures . . . Now I know my ABCs, won’t you come and learn with me? Make the alphabet come to life through a wide variety of arts and crafts activities. Alphabet Adventures will expose your budding scholar to learning letter-sound relationships, letter formation and sensory experiences. Get ready for an adventure with the alphabet! Research shows that kids lose an average of one month of learning over the summer break. Help your child retain and gain knowledge in an engaging environment by enrolling now in these summer classes. Small Wonders Alphabet Adventures will run from June 16th to August 20th. Small Wonders Preschool teachers provide lessons and activities that are both educational and fun for your preschool age child. Whether you are a brand new preschooler or a returning preschooler, these classes will provide young learners with the opportunity to develop their creativity and discover the world around them. For returning preschoolers, these classes will offer your child the routine they have learned through the school year and for new preschoolers, these classes will help your child start the new school year with confidence!   • Alphabet Adventures with Wonder Zone

    Alphabet Adventures for students enrolled in Summer Wonder Zone Summer is a time to be creative, explore new worlds, develop new skills and have FUN! Students registered for Wonder Zone summer child care will attend Alphabet Adventures with Small Wonders on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Class sizes are limited to encourage a focused and dynamic learning environment. Children will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Children enrolled in Wonder Zone Child Care must be enrolled in Small Wonders Alphabet adventures. Small Wonders Summer fee is $755. For your convenience, the summer fee can be split into 3 separate payments. $251.67 is due at time of registration, with $251.67 on 7/1/24 and $251.67 on 8/1/24. Small Wonders Summer class is an am or a pm only. The only full day option is to also sign up for the Wonder Zone Child Care component. Please remember that Small Wonders and Wonder Zone are two separate programs. If you need child care you must sign up for both Small Wonders and Wonder Zone.   • American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Classes

    No age requirement, however, student must be able to perform successful compressions (2 inches in depth) on an adult manikin. Come learn from some of the best instructors in Minnesota! CPR Professionals has just celebrated its 19th year training and we are excited to move into the Lakeville area to offer classes. We customize these courses specifically to the group and have fun realistic scenarios to practice real life emergencies. First Aid classes start at 1:30 pm and take approximately 1.5 hours CPR classes start at 3 pm and take approximately 2 hours Choose from the following classes: BLS Provider: Medical level CPR class for medical professionals. 2 year AHA certificate included. All ages are covered including AED, ambu (artificial manual breathing unit) bag, oxygen, choking and changes for professional rescues. $98 Heartsaver CPR: Non medical CPR class for daycare providers or anyone needing a 2 year AHA certificate. Skills (may be performed with flotation): Jump into chest-deep water and return to the edge of pool Bob underwater, blowing bubbles, 5 times Front float, face in water, 10 sec. Front glide, turn and swim back to the wall, face in water Back float, ears in water, 10 sec.     Welcome to Community Education Aquatics The Community Education Aquatics and Safety program provides a wide range of swimming opportunities in the areas of instruction, recreation, fitness and safety certifications for infant through adult students in the Lakeville area and beyond. Our program offers year-round instruction to give you or your child a great experience in the water. Our American Red Cross (ARC) trained instructors typically teach throughout the year, so you can count on seeing the same high-quality instructor at each lesson and session.   • Art Experiments

    Combo Camp - Community Learning Center Grades 1-5 In this camp we will have fun using art materials and science to create some cool special effects. We’ll investigate the world of art and science. We’ll experiment with tinfoil, shaving cream, glow in the dark paint, chalk, glue, salt and watercolor to make interesting and colorful creations. We’ll make cupcakes on canvas with puffy shaving cream frosting, make art that glows, try our hand at foil embossing and more in this in this camp of art experiments. This is a “Pay Later” course!     Grades 1-8 Learn about a new medium and explore art history by studying different artists and their work. Create wonderful artwork while being inspired by Edvard Munch's The Scream, Pablo Picasso's Woman in Hat, Vincent Van Gogh's Chair, Wassily Kandinsky's Bavarian Market Square and Claude Monet's Regatta at Argenteuil.     Ages: 3-6 years Preschoolers and recent kindergartners will create, discover and learn with a licensed teacher who will engage them in math, science, and art explorations. A licensed parent educator will lead the parent discussion with topics relevant to this busy time of parenting. Parents and children will be separate for the entire class.
