We customize these courses specifically to the group and have fun realistic scenarios to practice real life emergencies. First Aid classes start at 1:30 pm and take approximately 1.5 hours CPR classes start at 3 pm and take approximately 2 hours Choose from the following classes: BLS Provider: Medical level CPR class for medical professionals. 2 year AHA certificate included. All ages are covered including AED, ambu (artificial manual breathing unit) bag, oxygen, choking and changes for professional rescues. $98 Heartsaver CPR: Non medical CPR class for daycare providers or anyone needing a 2 year AHA certificate. All ages are covered including AED and choking. $86 Same class with no AHA certification (great for parents just wanting CPR knowledge): $63 Heartsaver First Aid: Non medical first aid. You can choose an adult certification or pediatric if you are a daycare provider or just want more information specific to children.   • Aqua Kids 1

    Aqua Kids 1 Without parent, ages 3 to 5 Participants become comfortable in the water learning basic swimming skills without a parent or guardian in the water with them. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and waterpark safety. Skills (may be performed with flotation or assistance): Enter the water independently Submerge head Bob underwater and blow bubbles, 3 times Front float, face in or out of water Front glide, face in or out of water Back float, ears in or out of water Back glide, ears in or out of water Roll over: front to back/back to front Paddle stroke on front, face in or out of water, 5 yd. Monkey, Tree, Soldier arms on back, ears in or out of water, 5 yd.

    Aqua Kids 2 Ages 3 to 5 Participants continue to develop swimming skills and endurance to swim longer distances with floatation. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and waterpark safety. Skills (may be performed with flotation): Jump into chest-deep water and return to the edge of pool Bob underwater, blowing bubbles, 5 times Front float, face in water, 10 sec. Front glide, turn and swim back to the wall, face in water Back float, ears in water, 10 sec. Back glide, roll over, turn and swim back to the wall, ears in water Paddle stroke on front, face in/out of water, 5 yd. Monkey, Tree, Soldier arms, on back, ears in water, 5 yd.     Aqua Tots (Ages 6 months to 5 years with parent or guardian) Enjoy swimming with your child while building swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water for children ages 6 to 36 months old accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents learn to help their child adjust to the water and develop safety awareness. Participants become comfortable in the water learning basic swimming skills with assistance from a parent or guardian. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and waterpark safety. *Each child must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the water during class.     Welcome to Community Education Aquatics The Community Education Aquatics and Safety program provides a wide range of swimming opportunities in the areas of instruction, recreation, fitness and safety certifications for infant through adult students in the Lakeville area and beyond. Our program offers year-round instruction to give you or your child a great experience in the water. Our American Red Cross (ARC) trained instructors typically teach throughout the year, so you can count on seeing the same high-quality instructor at each lesson and session.     Age 10 1/2-15 Gain the skills and confidence to be a great babysitter. This course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video, role plays and lively discussions. It teaches young people how to: Care for children and infants Handle emergencies Communicate effectively with parents Make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe Rent the Babysitting 101 DVD for your scout or scout group! This class is self led. Each student will receive a workbook to keep. Pick up of DVD and workbooks at the Community Education Offices, 17685 Juniper Path, Suite 200, Lakeville, MN 55044. Once the DVD is returned to our office you will get $10 refunded back to your original form of payment. Contact katey.radant@isd194.org in advance if you need this DVD on a specific date or if you have more than one student. Workbooks are $10 a student, DVD rental is $20 with $10 credited back to you once the DVD is returned.

(Per trimester) Allegro Choral Academy is dedicated to providing a comprehensive vocal music experience to young people through the achievement of musical excellence in an environment that nurtures creativity, teamwork and the love of singing. The curriculum both challenges and inspires students. In addition to three performances throughout the year, singers are trained in reading music, ear training, musicianship, vocal development and ensemble skills. Performance dates listed in calendar below.. Most students participate for the entire season (Sept-May), however, registration in required one trimester at a time. Rehearsals emphasize the healthy development of a free and natural vocal production, while honing each singer's musicianship, expressivity and ear training abilities.     Ages: 18-30 months Parent and child will separate for part of this class. If you find that separation is not working for your family, we will assist you with a separation plan or help you find a class option that does not separate. Join us as you and your toddler discover safe and age appropriate activities; including art, music and sensory play. This class provides opportunities for social-emotional connections and an environment to learn together. Parents will gain knowledge and support from a licensed parent educator and other parents during discussion time. All ECFE classes are taught by a licensed early childhood teacher and/or licensed parent educator.
