Pound Fitness is a cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, & sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, & strength training with yoga & Pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly-weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercise. POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Designed for all fitness levels and easy to modify, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, improving your health, & rocking out! POUND’s® alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to rockstars of all ages & abilities.

Hi, my name is Stephanie McDonald, and I have been teaching group exercise classes for over 20 years. I have experience teaching aerobics, strength, balance and group cycle. I got certified in teaching Pound in 2020. I fell in love with this class format right away. It really doesn't feel like you're exercising because you are having so much fun! I think any type of exercise is good, you just have to find something you enjoy. I look forward to seeing you in Pound class starting in September.

My classes are focused on the 3 elements of “True Fun” (i.e. Play, Connection, and Flow - see Catherine Price) I’ll teach you to let go of perfectionism, love your body as it is today, and above all else, have fun.
