Lakeville Area Community Education

Step into the world of law enforcement. Lakeville Area Community Education and the Lakeville Police Department have joined together to provide middle school students the opportunity to gain exposure to various law enforcement careers WHILE having fun, positive interactions with law enforcement professionals. Taught by our very own Lakeville Police Department, topics will include:

• Path to Becoming a Police Officer (Process/Steps)
• Traffic Stops: One of the most routine tasks performed by a police officer. Why they do them, what they do and equipment that they have available/use.
K-9 demonstration
• Fitness & Self-Defense: An introduction into the level of fitness needed for the profession and some basic self-defense concepts will be discussed
