Summer Band Camp for 5th Graders Only (24-25 school year)

Advantage Educational Programs gives students the option of preparing for the ACT exam in three different ways: the In-School ACT Preparatory Course, the Virtual ACT Preparatory Course, or the Online ACT Preparatory Course.

The ACE (Academics, Competencies, Enrichment) Program is an after-school, ISD194 staff supervised program for students in sixth through eighth grade at Century, Kenwood Trail and McGuire Middle Schools. The program provides a positive and safe environment for students to receive homework help. In addition to homework help, students will have the opportunity to learn keyboarding skills, receive help with organization, and also receive one on one help from high school tutors and participate in other enrichment activities. After-school enrichment programs have been shown to help improve student’s confidence, academic achievement, creativity, time management skills, influence teamwork, and relieve stress on working families. Kenwood Trail Middle School Mon. and Weds. 2:00-3:00 pm
Instructor Patrick Byeon is starting his first year as a 6th grade special education teacher at Kenwood Trail Middle School. He comes with experiences working with diverse student body at other school districts in Minnesota and out of state, prior to arriving at Lakeville. He loves working with students and helping them in many different subjects, but particularly in math. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is receiving his Master’s degree in Special Education this winter. Along with his educational background, he also worked in Finance, Banking and Retail Management. He loves spending time taking care of his dog and a cat, hiking, going to the gym, watching football and traveling.
