    Adapted Swim Lessons

    This class is for students age 18 months through adult with mild special needs, including neurological, developmental, and cognitive, who will benefit from one on one instruction. Instructor will work with the parent/guardian to determine student goals that will meet a variety of sensory challenges including visual, auditory, physical and movement, all while learning swimming skills. Ratio = 1:1.

    Advanced (ages 5 and up) *Effective Fall 2022, we have combined skills from Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 into just "Advanced" Participants learn advanced skills used in competitive swimming and lifeguarding, improve competency for strokes learned in Intermediate 2 and learn butterfly and sidestroke to basic standards of competency. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of lifejackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and waterpark safety. Skills: Shallow dive Head-first surface dive to 7 ft. and retrieve object Flip turn: Front crawl Flip turn: Back crawl Tread water, 2 min. using different kicks Front crawl, 50 yd. Back crawl, 50 yd.   • American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Classes

    No age requirement, however, student must be able to perform successful compressions (2 inches in depth) on an adult manikin. Come learn from some of the best instructors in Minnesota! CPR Professionals has just celebrated its 19th year training and we are excited to move into the Lakeville area to offer classes. We customize these courses specifically to the group and have fun realistic scenarios to practice real life emergencies. First Aid classes start at 1:30 pm and take approximately 1.5 hours CPR classes start at 3 pm and take approximately 2 hours Choose from the following classes: BLS Provider: Medical level CPR class for medical professionals. 2 year AHA certificate included. All ages are covered including AED, ambu (artificial manual breathing unit) bag, oxygen, choking and changes for professional rescues. $98 Heartsaver CPR: Non medical CPR class for daycare providers or anyone needing a 2 year AHA certificate. All ages are covered including AED and choking. $86 Same class with no AHA certification (great for parents just wanting CPR knowledge): $63 Heartsaver First Aid: Non medical first aid. You can choose an adult certification or pediatric if you are a daycare provider or just want more information specific to children. We cover numerous scenarios from head injuries to heart attack to seizures to dehydration to so much more. $86 Same class with no AHA certification: $63 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid: Combination class of both gets you a discount price. $150 Same class with no AHA certification: $127

    Aqua Kids 1 Recommended for ages 3 to 5 Participants become comfortable in the water learning basic swimming skills without a parent or guardian in the water with them. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of life jackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and waterpark safety. Skills (may be performed with flotation or assistance): Enter the water independently Submerge head Bob underwater and blow bubbles, 3 times Front float, face in water, 3 sec.     Aqua Kids 2 Recommended for ages 3 to 5 Participants continue to develop swimming skills and endurance to swim longer distances with flotation. Safety topics include basic water safety, healthy swimming, safe water entry, helping yourself and others in an emergency, use of life jackets, safe weather conditions for swimming, and water park safety. Skills (may be performed with flotation): Jump into chest-deep water and return to the edge of pool Bob underwater, blowing bubbles, 5 times Front float, 10 sec. Front glide, turn and swim back to the wall Back float, 10 sec. Back glide, roll over, turn and swim back to the wall Paddle stroke on front, face in/out of water, 5 yd.     Ages 9 months - 5 years (with parent or guardian) Enjoy swimming with your child while building swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents learn to help their child adjust to the water and develop safety awareness. Participants will become comfortable in the water learning basic swimming skills with assistance from a parent or guardian. *Each child must attend with a parent/guardian.     Join the fun for recreational swimming! Please review our Pool Rules prior to attending open swim. Swimmers must furnish suits and towels. Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices may be used, NO inflatables will be allowed. Those who cannot swim the width of the pool must be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult. Swimmers may use approved goggles. Children under 2 are free, however, please register each child so we can stay within our max allowed in the pool.
  • Private or Semi Private Swim Lessons

    Private or Semi-Private Lessons *Please note, Fee Assistance cannot be used for Private or Semi-Private Swim Lessons. This class is designed to aid those who need extra help passing a level or working on a specific skill. More individualized attention will be given to specific areas of need. Additional times beyond those listed below will be determined by pool and instructor availability. All lessons are private lessons unless two registrations are submitted together and indicate a semi-private preference. It is recommended the students in the semi-private lessons are of a similar skill level. If you are registering for a semi-private lesson, please register 1 student then you will be asked for the 2nd student's name during registration, so you do not need to register each student separately for a semi-private lesson. Students who wish to have a private 1:1 lesson should register separately. Ratios: Private = 1:1, Semi-Private = 1:2.
  • Summer Adventures Swim Lessons

    Summer Adventures & Summer Wonder Zone Swim Lessons **These classes are ONLY for students who are enrolled in the Summer Adventures or Summer Wonder Zone child care program for the summer. Regular swim lesson registration information can be found HERE. Swim lessons are offered during weeks 1-8, Mondays - Thursdays, at a discounted rate for Summer Adventures and Summer Wonder Zone participants who are entering grades K-6 in the 2024-25 school year. Students will be bussed from their Summer Adventures site to the pool and back for swim lessons for those who are registered in advance. Group lessons offered will include Aqua Kids 2, Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Advanced (Advanced 1 and 2 have been combined as of Fall 2022). Due to staffing, we will not be able to offer private or adapted lessons this summer. Wonder Zone (CLEC) participants will swim with the Oak Hills (OHE) and Christina Huddleston (CHE) groups.     Water Safety Aide (WSA)

    Ages 13 and up A great class for students ages 13 and up who love water and children and are seeking employment as an assistant swim instructor. Students that complete this course will be qualified to apply for employment at the age of 14. You will get hands-on experience during the class. First aid and CPR are not included. *Completion of this class does not guarantee employment with ISD #194.
