Spring Break Horse Camp
Grades 3-12This three day camp will teach your rider overall horsemanship, how to catch, groom, saddle and ride their very own horse. During each class riders are shown ways to interact safely with horses while learning how to ride and enjoy them. From learning basic riding skills (how to go, stop and turn) to learning fun games to play with horses and friends. Each day has a theme (intro day, team work day, all about the horse day, etc…) and will build on the previous day. The last day of camp is parent involvement day where the parents can come out and watch what their kids have been learning. The participants are broken up into groups by age and ability (with horses). By the end of the camp many of the participants are able to walk/trot/whoa/turn and go through obstacles on their own. Safety is very important, please wear closed toed shoes and bring a helmet if you have one, otherwise one will be provided. Dress for the weather, with lots of layers; bring a bag lunch, peanut free snack and water bottle. * A signed waiver is required.
