Gain the skills and confidence to be a great babysitter. This course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video, role plays and lively discussions.
It teaches young people how to:
• Care for children and infants
• Handle emergencies
• Rescue breathing
• Communicate effectively with parents
• Make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe
• Learn business skills such as interviewing for a job

Lorinda Bergstein is a full time college student majoring in Early Childhood Education. She spent her childhood years growing up on a farm and currently resides in Lakeville with her two school age children and their adopted dog, Kenny, whom Lorinda refers to as her “fur-ever” toddler.
Lorinda is a lifelong learner who is passionate about sharing knowledge with others. One of her teaching goals is to help build confidence within her students because empowerment builds from self-confidence.
Through her college classes Lorinda has gained valuable book knowledge as well as hands-on experience in the areas of early childhood and youth development. Combining this knowledge with her nurturing parenting skills she is eager to share the joy that comes with caring for others.
